ETL IS WORKING ON BECOMING TEM CERTIFIED

We are pleased to announce that ETL, our trusted environmental testing laboratory, will soon be able to perform asbestos air and bulk analysis by Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM)!

TEM is a highly specialized technique that allows for 20,000x magnification. Compare that to the 100x-400x magnification by light microscope for our existing analyses. For our clients, that means we can detect asbestos fibers at lower concentrations. When more information is needed than PLM (bulk) or PCM (air) can provide, TEM will produce more comprehensive and accurate results to keep you protected.

Benefits of TEM testing:

  • Protect your bottom line: Avoid unnecessary removal or replacement of non-asbestos-containing materials, reducing project costs and timeframes. With TEM analysis, we confirm the identity of fibers using X-ray diffraction and spectroscopy so you can be certain down to the chemical composition!
  • Make better decisions during demolition and renovation projects: TEM analysis of bulk materials can provide asbestos concentrations at lower levels, empowering project managers to make informed decisions about how to handle these materials during demolition and renovation projects.
  • Protect from liability risks: By performing highly sensitive TEM analysis on air monitoring samples, contractors can be certain of fiber identity and concentration. With this knowledge, they can minimize liability risks and avoid costly legal issues arising from worker exposure to asbestos.

IN PERSON NETWORKING EVENTS
Did you miss our latest networking event?  On April 20th, we held a networking event in Detroit, specifically for Spanish-speaking contractors!
